What happens if you halve, double and triple the radius?

quartered, quadrupled, ninefold

Is that a miscalculation?

Better to write it like this:

That can't be true, can it?

A (r) = r² π A (2r) = (2r) ² π = 4.r².π

I don't understand the answer from notfretretetetet, can you explain it to me?

A (r) = r² π A (½r) = (½r) ² π = ¼ .r².π

Pythagoras is always so mean to me

How do you calculate that?

That's how I smeared it now, so if you double r, the area quadruples, but if you triple r, not. What am I doing wrong?

I also wrote

Oh forgot the bracket, but 2 times 2 is 4

But if I triple r it comes out 9 ...

It says on the Internet that everything always quadruples, but from triple r it is only times 2.25 and then the 9 somehow appears. I am completely confused
