Clara Oswald's Ticklish Torment

Literature text

[Author's Note]: This story takes place during Season 8, Episode 9 of Doctor Who, Deep breath. It picks up after the doctor splits up with Clara, when she must refrain from breathing in order to disguise herself as a robot.

The words of the Doctor were echoing through her mind, "How long can you hold your breath?". Clara stood still, as the Half-Face Man walked towards her. He was right next to her now, looking directly at her. Clara continued to hold her breath. Her face was stuck in a look of terror. After what felt like eons, he walked away, assured that she was a machine as well. Clara was immensely relieved, but it wasn't over yet.

She walked towards the exit, breathing only when no eyes were on her. She seemed home-free until she reached the corridor. It was the last stretch before she was out, but it was monitored heavily by robots on either side. Clara took a deep breath, and began to slowly walk through. One step after another, she trekked on, but she just couldn't take it any longer. She was unable to resist a large breath before fainting.

In her half-conscious exhaustion she heard the Half-Face Man or "Bring her". A large, soon cyborg carried her to the half-face man. Clara was dropped to the ground in front of him. Still on her hand and knees, the Half-Face Man spoke to her.

"Where is the other one?" he said as Clara began to get up. "There was another. Where is he? Where is the other? You will tell us, or you will be destroyed."

"What did you say?" she asked.

"You will tell us," he responded.

With a slight regain in confidence Clara retorted "Yeah, I know. Or what?"

"You want them," The Half-Face Man warned.

"Go on," she shot back as she stood up fully. "Do it then. I'm not going to answer any of your questions, so you have to do it. You have to kill me. Threats don't work unless you deliver.

The Half-Face Man only repeated his order, "You will tell us where the other one is."

"Nope," Clara replied with a new energy.

"You will be destroyed."

"Destroy me, then," she dared him. "And if you don't, then I'm not going to believe a single threat you make from now on. Of course, if I'm dead, then I can't tell you where the other one went then. You need to keep this place down here a secret, don't you? Never start with your final sanction. You've got nowhere to go but backwards. "

"Humans feel pain."

"Ah. Bigger threat to smaller threat. See what I me-"

The Half-Face Man cut her off. "Humans feel tickling."

This stopped Clara in her tracks. She was silent for a moment as the bald cyborg forced her to sit in a nearby version of her locked chair from before. Her feet, locked into cuffs, were raised outward towards her interrogator.

Sitting in front of her, with his hands level to her still shoed feet, the Half-Face Man demanded "You will tell us where the other one is."

She tried to salvage the situation by asking "Are you trying to scare me?", But gave up as he began to remove her shoes. She began to beg "Look, please just don't tiCKAHAHAHAHAHAHAL MEAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

The Half-Face Man tickled her soles with his fingers, causing her to instantly burst into fits of laughter. "You will tell us!" hey continued.

With each stroke of his finger, Clara's laughter intensified. Clara was incredibly ticklish 'she always had been. And she absolutely hated it.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" she yelped. "Let me go!"

To her utter astonishment, he actually stopped. "I told you that I wouldn't break," Clara spoke. Just as she said it, a large, circular, metallic plate was handed to the Half-Face Man. He grabbed it with both of his hands, and slowly positioned it closer towards her feet.

"No-no-no, what's that?" Clara queried right as it touched the bottom of her feet. She didn't know how it worked, but it tickled. Clara bellowed into full screams.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAH!" She couldn't take it. This was worse than anything she had experienced before, and it wasn't stopping. The tickling was so intense that it put Clara into a trance-like state where she wasn't even aware of what was going on around her. All she could sense was her helplessness at this machine. Her laughing didn't stop once.

It felt like it had been forever, from her perspective, when all of a sudden she heard a loud crashing sound, and the tickling stopped. It was the Doctor! He had just kicked the Half-Face Man over. Finally Clara was saved!
